The Product

Propella is a full-featured, configurable business software package which fills the gap between low-end off-the-shelf products and expensive mid-range offerings.

Propella is an ERP Windows product utilising the powerful industry-standard Microsoft SQL Server database. Developed in New Zealand, the Propella suite of programs is a fully integrated package covering a wide range of business applications including stock management, order processing, quoting, job costing, servicing, rentals, point of sale, supply chain management and accounting.

Propella is supplied and supported by Propella Software Limited directly from their Auckland base. Although on site attendance is usually necessary for the initial installation phase, on-line support is generally all that is needed thereafter to maintain release updates and on-going assistance.

The Propella Group, still managed by the founding shareholders, is now in its 28th year of supplying and supporting businesses within the target application area. The Propella product began development in 2000 and was released to market in 2002. The product is proven and reliable and can boast a strong user base over a wide range of applications including public and multi-national companies, platforms in excess of 100 users with multi-branch and mobile connectivity.

Propella Software Limited has developed a full change management system to control development through to release to the client and follow-up support. This allows Propella to offer customisation of its product for clients while ensuring that orphan versions do not evolve.

Propella has been designed to minimise training through standard user-interfaces, simplicity of entry and navigation and consistent processes. The design incorporates a ‘no limits' approach to fields, data and historical recall. Historical reports can all be run ‘as at' which, apart from a clear audit trail, also provides a no-stop approach to end of month procedures where a single key-stroke moves you from one month to the next with no delay in processing.

Apart from the integrated accounting core, Propella is essentially a management tool with drivers aimed at ensuring key performance indicators (KPI's) are highlighted. These are driven by on demand reports, automatic Alerts to applicable personnel and a full KPI dashboard which provides a complete company view with drill-downs providing deeper analysis.
